North Korea on Sunday released propaganda photos of a US bomber and a supercarrier under attack, hours after the same type of aircraft flew in international airspace off the country's eastern coast.

A state-owned propaganda site, DPRK Today, unveiled a doctored photo in which Pyongyang's Pukguksong missile strikes a U.S. strategic bomber B-1B.

DPRK is short for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the North's full name.

The photo was released merely hours after the U.S. military announced U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers, deployed from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, flew with F-15C air superiority fighters from Kadena Air Base on Okinawa. It was designed as a show of force against North Korea amid an escalating war of words between Pyongyang and Washington.

The photo was part of a video that also portrayed U.S. President Donald Trump, seen speaking at the celebration of the U.S. Air Force's 70th Anniversary at Joint Base Andrews, as "a mad man."

Then the North's Pukguksong-2 missile, a medium-range ballistic missile, is seen launched toward a B-1B and a F-35, and the photo captures the two jets engulfed in computer-generated fire.

Also in the video, a North Korean submarine-launched missile strikes the USS Carl Vinson, a nuclear-powered flattop.

The subtitle of the film says, "Should F-35, B-1B and the Carl Vinson lead the U.S. attack, they will head to the grave in that order." (Yonhap)

미사일로 美공격 가상영상도 北통신 웹사이트에 올려

북한의 대외선전매체인 '조선의오늘'은 24일 '북극성 미사일'로 미국의 전략폭격기 B-1B를 타격하는 합성사진을 공개했다.

이 매체는 '선두에 서봐라' 제목의 영상물에서 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 공군 창설 70주년을 맞아 워싱턴DC 인근 앤드루스 공군기지를 방문해 연설하는 사진에 '미치광이 트럼프가 미 공군 70주년 기념연설에서 줴친(떠든) 망발' '대북공격이 실시된다면 F-35가 선두에 설 것이다'라는 자막을 담았다.

그러면서 미군의 F-35와 B-1B의 사진에 이어 지상에서 준중거리탄도미사일(MRBM) '북극성-2'가 발사되는 영상을 보여주고, 미군의 두 비행기가 화염에 휩싸여 폭발되는 모습을 컴퓨터그래픽으로 만든 사진을 내보냈다.

영상은 잠수함발사탄도미사일(SLBM)이 발사되는 장면과 함께 미국의 핵추진 항공모함 칼빈슨호가 쾅하는 소리와 함께 화염에 뒤덮이는 합성사진도 보여줬다.

미국의 전략자산을 타격하는 사진과 함께 'F-35, B-1B, 칼빈슨호 선두에 서봐라'며 '선두에 서는 순서가 곧 무덤으로 가는 순서이다'라는 자막도 넣었다.

1분 29초 분량의 이 영상에는 성조기가 화염에 타는 모습도 합성해 넣었으며 '조선인민군 군관 박국성'이라는 제작자로 보이는 사람의 이름을 영상 말미에 넣어 개인이 제작했음을 보여줬다.

북한 조선중앙통신도 최근 인터넷 홈페이지에 '반드시 불로 다스릴 것이다'라는 제목의 2분 4초 길이의 영상에 미국을 공격하는 그래픽을 담았다.

이 영상은 김정은 노동당 위원장이 트럼프 대통령 연설에 대응해 발표한 '국무위원장 성명'을 맨 처음에 보여줬다. 또 미사일이 바다를 건너 날아가는 가상 영상이 나온 뒤 미국 의회 의사당으로 보이는 건물이 화염에 휩싸여 폭발하는 그래픽을 보여주는 내용을 담았다.(연합)
