Trump lashes out after newspapers come together to defend the press
President Trump is having A Day™️. On Thursday, more than 100 newspapers from across the country joined together to condemn the president's aggressive attacks on the media. Instead of ignoring the editorials or responding to them constructively, President Trump did what he does best: plunged himself into chaos. Between the president's attacks on CNN reporter Jim Acosta and the his insistence on calling the media the "enemy of the people," it's been a particularly brutal summer for the free press. Led by The Boston Globe, members of the mainstream media decided to publish dozens of editorials defending their work and their constitutional right to exist. The campaign was organized under the hashtag #EnemyOfNone. No wonder Trump went into a tizzy. Note how our calm, cool, and collected President uses CAPS LOCK in response. Most of his wrath was reserved for the The Boston Globe: For what it's worth, Trump appears to have been slightly off when it came to the Globe's sale. John Henry purchased it from the New York Timesin 2013 for $70 million -- slightly more than the $1 Trump mentioned. Facts, schmacts! Just another day in Trump's America.Tweet may have been deleted
